Maureen Metcalf
Executive Director

Ms Maureen has a bachelor in human service management, masters in industrial/organizational psychology, completed graduate course through UW in Early Learning Guidelines and Foundations, over 10 years’ experience in the early childhood field and 25 years in human service/nonprofit leadership experience and expertise. Maureen provides the oversight for the vision and mission of First Light.

Stormy Broad
Center Wellness Director

Ms Stormy has a bachelor in positive psychology with an emphasis on wellness. With over 20 years combined experience in human service, early childhood, psychology fields. Stormy oversees the Center’s administration, health & wellness.

Ashley Tiffany
Educational Director/
PreK Sunshine Seekers Teacher

Ms Ashley has a bachelor in early childhood education leadership and development and has worked in the early childhood field for 10+ years. Ashley oversees the teaching team, professional development, curriculum, k ready enrichment, and is the director licensing/naeyc standards.

Sasha Rollins
Rising Stars Teacher

Miss Sasha is in her last year completing her degree in early education and has been on this development path while advancing in her role over the past five years from assistant to teacher and teacher mentor.

Jenny Davis
Precious Feet Teacher

Ms Jenny has her associates degree in elementary education with an early education emphasis. She has been with First Light two years.

Karin Boulter
Tender Hearts Teacher, Helping Hands

Ms Karin provides tender loving care and attention to the littlest in our center she has recently enrolled in college, a mom of four, and has been with First Light a year.

Tina Rinehart
Facility Aide

Ms Tina has been with First Light since 2012. She has over 25+ years’ experience in the early childhood field and ensures our center facility is clean, sanitized and our food program implemented to the highest standards.

Open-Contract role 3-10 hours a week
Family/Community Outreach Coordinator

The First Light team employs an experienced, college educated and/or on a path for early education completion teacher for each classroom. We employ core teaching assistants for each classroom that have completed and/or are on a path in the early/elemtary field. Flexible scheduling for our high school pace/work study students and college students are in floating and sub roles. The First Light team wears First Light attire and badges informing of the employee’s name and role in the center. Team members that are not in the early education field and fill seasonal/temporary roles are floaters.

Facility support assistants and custodial employees ensure our center is sanitizing and cleaned daily as well as deep cleaned on the weekends and monthly for special deep cleaning projects.

Enrichment Instructors

Enrichment instructors are paid in a contract role offering enrichment opportunities above and beyond what teachers are providing in the classroom in the areas of foreign language, gross motor, fine arts, music, art, dramatic play).

Each teacher is equipped with a teaching assistant, aides and floating team members. First Light employs a custodial team for daily, evening, weekend, and monthly deep cleaning to ensure our center is clean, sanitized and safe.
